UTILITIES COMMISSION WORKSHOP TO REVIEW STRATEGY ON ZERO NET ENERGY

The Public Utilities Commission staff will be conducting a workshop on Wednesday to review and refine California’s strategic plan relating to “Zero Net Energy”.  Existing state policy goals seek zero net energy status in all new homes starting in 2020 and all new commercial buildings in 2030.  The Wednesday meeting will provide key stakeholders the opportunity to discuss the PUC report “Pathway to Zero Net Energy” and to discuss and refine the PUC’s “vision framework and goals”.  Residential construction will be represented by CBIA and the commercial building industry will be represented by CBPA at Wednesday’s workshop in San Francisco.
