Annex 5 Grant Agreement H2020

The European Commission can order an audit of your H2020 grant during the project or at any time up to 2 years after the final payment. The audit may be carried out by the Commission`s own staff or subcontracted to external persons or bodies designated by the Commission. Most of the provisions of the GA cannot be changed. However, individual details may be agreed individually with the European Commission/funding agency during the funding phase, such as for example. B the start of the project and the amount of pre-financing. The project coordinator shall transmit the SFC to the Commission or granting agency within sixty days of the end of the last period covered by the final report. The CoMUC is a substantive report prepared by an independent public accountant. Its objective is to enable the European Commission or the Grant Agency to carry out its audit taking into account the provisions of the audited grant agreement under the Horizon 2020 Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation and in accordance with International Standards on Auditing. Those standards require statutory auditors to comply with ethical requirements, plan and implement relevant procedures in accordance with the audit guidance programme, in order to obtain reasonable assurance that the financial statements are free from materially erroneous information.

Controls, verifications and audits shall focus on the technical implementation of the action or on other aspects of the grant agreement. The Commission shall examine, during or after the implementation of the project, the correct implementation of the project and its compliance with the grant agreement. The presentation of a CoMUC method certificate is optional (see Article 18.1.2 of the Grant Agreement). . . .
