SPECIAL- Save the Dates

TWO IMPORTANT CBPA EVENTS IN 2022

This coming year, 2022, marks two very special and momentous occasions for California Business Properties Association – Our 50th Anniversary and the retirement of Rex S. Hime who led the organization for the last 37 years.

We know many of you will want to attend one or both events so want to give you clear information to plan and make decisions.

FEBRUARY 16:  Northern California Reception.  4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Hyatt Regency, Sacramento.

This will be an “Old School” political-style reception with friends from all aspects of Rex’s life including his time on the UC Regents, the Cal-Expo Board, and of course all the State Capitol denizens.  You can drop in at any time to shake Rex’s hand and celebrate his lifetime of service.

While Rex loves his work, he loves and values the people and friendships far more. We encourage you to come give him a well-deserved send off and help us yell “Speech! Speech!” to get him to drop some of his famous Pearls of Wisdom at the microphone at 5:30 p.m.

Note: there has been a date change on this event from earlier in that same week, so double-check your calendar to make sure you land it on the right day.

MARCH 24: Industry Awards Dinner & CBPA 50th Celebration. 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. – The Renaissance Hotel, Newport Beach.

If you are based in Southern California and/or work in the commercial, industrial, or retail real estate sector, this is the event you don’t want to miss.  The Industry Awards Dinner and CBPA’s 50 Year Celebration will be celebrated at once giving us the opportunity to fete Rex and a few others so important to our industry.

This event will sell out as it is one of the best networking opportunities to connect with some of the pillars of the California real estate industry.

Below you will see more information about the Industry Award/CBPA 50 Year Celebration, including the Awards that will be given out that night.

We hope to see you at one or both of these events!

INDUSTRY AWARDS DINNER & CBPA 50 YEAR CELEBRATION

California Business Properties Association Industry Awards Dinner is scheduled for March 24, 2022 at The Renaissance Hotel in Newport Beach. The CBPA Awards Dinner is a chance to recognize the unwavering leadership of individuals and companies dedicated to the commercial industrial retail real estate industry.

We will be pairing the awards dinner with a 50 Year Celebration, acknowledging the history and key role California Business Properties Association has played in advocating for and defending our vital industry.

With Rex Hime’s retirement announcement, and his critical role in almost all of CBPA’s 50 years of existence, part of the program will be dedicated to honoring him and those who helped get CBPA up and running to become the voice and association it is today.

If you are based in Southern California and would like to be able to give Rex his well wishes, this event is the time and place to do so! We invite you to be a part of this exciting night celebrating the industry as whole, as well as CBPA and Rex Hime.
