Last year new Proposition 65 warning were signed into law by the Governor.   The new requirements came into effect August 2018.   Entities doing business in California are now required to provide additional “Prop 65” warning. BILL TARGETING WAREHOUSE CONSTRUCTION VETOED

AB 2853 by Assemblymember Jose Medina (D-Riverside) was vetoed by Governor Brown.  Our industry strongly opposed the bill as it unreasonably targeted one building type, warehouses, when working together with a local government on certain economic development subsidies.  Current law already requires extensive disclosure of information by all project types getting such subsidies.  Here is the Governor’s veto message.  Read More →

CALTRANS RELEASES 2018 CALIFORNIA STATE RAIL PLAN

Earlier this week CALTRANS released the “2018 STATE RAIL PLAN.”  The plan aims to boost the economy, help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve safety statewide over the next 20 years.
